Soya Chekkalu
Ingredients
Rice flour |

Chicck pea dal |

Soy refined oil |
for deep frying |
Hydrogenated fat |

Method
- Finely chop onion and coriander leaves. Make a stiff dough by mixing all the ingredients and sufficient amount of water. Cover with a damp cloth and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into approximately 25 equal portions and make small balls. Spread a plastic sheet over a flat surface and sprinkle a few drops of water to make it wet. Pat each dough ball into a flattened circle of 3 inches diameter with wet fingers.
- Carefully slip each one off the sheet and into hot oil. Deep fry till golden brown in colour.
